This family loves the outdoors so we waited for the perfect winter day. The landscape had to be full of snow but not snowing. The temperature  also had to be bearable. Before the session we discussed what is important to their family and what they wanted the portrait not only look like but to feel like. What emotion should the portrait convey to them when they look at it. They were thrilled with this portrait and it will hang proudly above their fireplace. Winter in Calgary is unpredictable but can also be stunning for winter portraits.
