I was able to spend the day with Leo who is one of the volunteers of The Wild Horse of Alberta Society (WHOAS). He and the team are committed to the preservation of these magnificent animals in their natural environment. Prior to capturing this image the horses were scattered so I crouched down in the snow and waited. I didn’t want to stress the wild horses so I kept my distance. And the wait was worth it as the snow became heavier they gathered closer together and I am so thrilled with the final image. That you to all those I met that day that spend countless hours volunteering for these beautiful animals.
